Hans Innemee
Inspired by the English comedian Tommy Cooper and his sketch about six eggs, Innemee started to compose with chickens and eggs. From these simple, basic ingredients he developed a new technique combining painting with monotype drawings.
The power of simplicity is what makes his art work immensely popular all over the world. His animals, often chickens, but at times worms, pigs, cats and dogs, tell us about the basics of ‘human nature’. In powerful minimalistic compositions they display recognizable humane situations, such as contact or the lack thereof, presence, intimacy and power.
